Hello my name is Rachel Alexandra Jackson. Hello is one of my favorite greetings. Everytime I here the word hello I automatically think "Hello no one is available so please leave a message."

Anyways if you don't know who I am already let me tell you a little about my self. 

I am an easy going person, as well as, an adventurous person. 

I can also be seen as a quite person (Yes that can be true) However, some of the quietest people have the loudest minds. Once you get to know me I can be fun and all sorts of (good) crazy. 

I am really passionate about art and always pushing to improve. I love to impact media has and the entertainment it provides to all sorts of people around the world. There is the moment just before you play an animation I have created (often thinking this will not work one bit) Yet once that moment passes I am in aw (even if it turn out to be a terrible animation) It still moves. Animation always surprises me and 

I find it highly fascinating. 

I am also fascinated and inspired by God, time travel, music, british culture, villains, and people.

I am in love with tea as well! 

  

Last of all I much rather have a rainy day. (Its rather magical.)

Jarek Spears' intro

Hey everyone, first post again....


Most of you already know me, but for those who don't, My name is Jarek Spears.

I come from huntington, and I'm 24 years old. I often enjoy video games, anime, comics, and board games.  I am a huge nerd and geek and proud of it.

My current goal in life is to graduate and get a job in the industry. after that, i hope to create my own graphic novel, and if that one is successful many more after that!

i am a huge fan of science fiction and talking out of my ass about things i claim to know. So, sit down and talk to me sometime, it will probably get interesting, but watch out for the angry rants.

Ethan's Intro!

How's it going bros? My name is Ethan Mohr, and welcome to my intro!

Theres not much to say about myself but since you asked I will tell you anything that has any interest.

I am born and raised in Indiana ,my whole life i have been very introverted, never really open up to people. (but somehow I managed to get a girlfriend, go figure!)

When I'm not home or at school I'm working on paying for college. The way i pay for college may intrigue you somewhat. I buy used cooking oil and used motor oil for $.20-$.50 a gallon and in tern sell it to a few people for $1.00+ per gallon. Or we trade cooking oil for bio-diesel (if you want to know the process of making bio-diesel you are more than welcome to ask me) which i put bio-diesel in my 1995 chevy suburban. and i pretty much get diesel at around $.35 a gallon because we trade

Hobbies i guess are working on my car, making it run a little better each day. I play around with sound systems on my car which is fun lol. and if i have spare time i hang with my girlfriend.

Favorite showes are: South Park and Breaking Bad!
Favorite car is: Deloreans!
Favorite food:anything from the Dollar Tree lol!
Favorite artists: Owl City, Three Days Grace, Hollywood Undead

so back to formality, my name is Marcos Montoya, I think I'm the youngest one in the class, (unless someone can beat me with less than 18 yrs). I'm an introvert, so I don't talk much...

so yeah! I survive vacations! and a nice big scar was added to my collection. I have one kind of trying to imitate Harry Potter on my forehead top left. Got that one when I was young, and a nice big second one on my right leg. I will like to post a pic of it but I don't think nudity is allowed in this blog. xD

About comic, memes, and all that stuff, I like rage comics, which I miss now a days. Now the popular trend is memes, which are fun too!
Rage comics are those that illustrate everyone's or a great part of common experiences and it is funny because some of the readers have been in the same situation or know about it.

Luke's Intro

Hey guys, my name is Luke, and I'm a Sophomore...and I'm 21. Kind of uncommon, yes, but I took last year off of school and spent it down in Tennessee with some friends of mine recording music in a band. Which was cool. I'm really glad I did it, and it was a pretty awesome experience, but at the same time I am glad to be back at Huntington studying animation and hanging out with you guys :)

Oh, also, I didn't grow up in America, I was a missionary kid in Europe for 16 years of my life, so yeah...I'm pretty used to America now, but at first it was like a whole new foreign country that I had to get used to all over again. Not to mention getting used to everybody speaking a language that you can understand O.o

But yeah I like music, art, technical stuff...a lot of video games...some good books, and just hanging out with good friends mostly. Not much into sports...I'll play a friendly game of ping pong or something, but nothing super competitive...unless you're talking about video games. Then all bets are off.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you and practicing my animating skillz...more like developing them. But yes. Good stuff.

Lance's Intro

Hi everyone. I'm Lance Terpstra, sophomore animation major. I come from Wisconsin, have 3 siblings, baby of the family, and the dreamer of the family. By that last point I mean that I always was found day dreaming. I am a Christian, CMC in fact. I am not one for sports. I love video games. You get me talking about games and I won't stop, it is a problem. I lived in the country but just close enough to town that I I could always drive to town when we needed something. I love my family. Even though everyone is spread apart, we are all still close.

Animation was not always my passion. My first dream was to be a track runner. That quickly left once I learned that I despised physical activity. Then when I was a senior in highschool I had five majors in mind. Luckily Huntington had all five. I stuck with animation this long and I hope I don't switch but I am not sure of anything anymore. My first real dream of becoming an animator came when I watched Monster's Inc. I loved the animation so much. I watched all the bonus features multiple times.

Currently, my dream is to work for the creators of the web series RWBY. Something about how they animate and how they go about story is perfect for me. At least that is what I would like to believe.

I am super excited to be in this class with everyone and I hope we all do great things!

Nikki's Introoo

   Hey everyone! Hopefully you all know me by now but if not mah' name's Nikki and I also go by Kamki which is my username for basically everything. It's a long story. xD
   So, uhh, yeah, I'm an animation major from the boring great town of Peru! I've lived there the longest so let's pretend it's my home town.

   Random crap about me: I've always wanted to be a zoologist, I have central heterochromia, I love video games, during the fall and winter you'll rarely ever find me without my Halo hat (I'm not even good at Halo, it's just a nice hat lolz), I love bearcats, I talk to myself probably more than is healthy, I hoard characters that I make (God knows how many I've made).

Maybe I should state some more important things. xD



   I'm not exactly sure what I want to do when I graduate...? I just know I love drawing and making characters for no apparent reason. I don't really have a style that I know of, it changes randomly depending on how I feel or the subject matter I guess.

This picture represents me I guess. I'm a very random person with a stupidly ridiculous sense of humor. Although that coupled with social anxiety makes life strangely difficult. xDD

Dustin's Intro

I'm Dustin Newman, I live in Bluffton IN, 29 years old, part-time student, a commuter, work full time at the Tire & lube Express at Walmart as a technician, and I'm in the DMA program for animation. I know it's kind of unusual to start HU this late in the game but I've always fantasized about being a 2-D animator beginning as a kid at first-grade. To keep this short I suppose the reason for the hesitation is because college was too intimidating for me, perhaps I'm just lazy or maybe I had some growing up to do first, whatever it is I'm here now. Before HU my friends and I thought it would be fun to do a comic or graphic novel, it's still a work in progress though.

Starting HU I thought that making comic book series would be a career path worth going towards but after I take this class I may change my mind. My real goal is to make a living doing what I love, not like I am now where I get covered in grease and motor oil at the end of every day. You may already know by now that I like to draw, other than that some of the things I like to watch is Nova, Cosmos, the Venture Bros, SpongeBob, and for music, I also like Zomboy as well as some of Seven Lions, Lindsay Stomp, and Hardwell. Well that's all I have to say.

Haley's Intro

Hello! I'm Haley Wyatt (obviously!). I'm a sophomore Animation major and Computer Science minor. I'm from Northern California. [Bonus fact: I live in Yolo County. Yes, yes that is a real county - look it up!]



I love Jesus, cats, the smell after it rains, tv shows (Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Supernatural to name a few), tumblr, books, Barnes and Noble, music, art, museums, and my family. Originally, I wanted to be a teacher (since I was like 9) because I love kids, but discovered my junior year of high school that I could make a career out of art (whaaat??)! So yeah, that's how I knew that I wanted to be an artist!

My dream is to work for Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Cartoon Network, you name it! I love drawing/illustrating and designing characters and have been doing it since I was 13. I'm in love with 2D animation and hope to focus on that in my career at HU.

I'm so excited for this semester and can't wait to grow artistically with all of you! <3

Hello! Most of you know me already; I'm Alex Kane a sophomore in DMA and hope to work for Dreamworks, Pixar or some 3D animation studio! I mainly specialize in 3D as you can see the image above. I started around age 12 when I took my parents video camera and made live action clips. This eventually lead to some stop motion, 2D animations in paint softwares and then to 3D.

I will be your teacher assistant (TA) for this class. I am an

animation major who is turning 20 on 11/11. From Bishopville, SC. I love video games, the smell of fire, cats, pizza, music and art. I play piano, guitar, ukelele, and I sing. Originally, I was going to be a fine arts major (and by originally, I mean that was my life plan since I was 2), but decided to go into animation my junior year of high school. Ideally, I will be going into character design when I graduate.

I am 6' when I'm wearing shoes, and I have a freakishly long stride. My canine teeth are flat. I have a scar on my right eyeball. I've never broken a bone. Gladiator is my favorite movie. Zomboy, Owl City, and F-777 are my favorite (famous) musicians. I snap into a Minnesota, Irish, Australian, British, or Canadian accent sometimes, and it's a total accident. I've lived in SC for 14+ years, but no one guesses SC as my origin state.

*HOW TO INTERNET AND SET UP A BLOG POST*:
1) once you have access, either click the orange button with a pencil on it, or with the words "new post" on it. (If you are writing from blogger, the icon will vary depending on if you are at the home page or in the blogger window for this blog. If you go straight to the blog site, [www.in2dma.blogspot.com] there will be a "new post" option on the top right once you have access.)
2) write a title at the top of the screen next to "Intro to DMA * Post"
3) write out a body
4) include a picture or video to add interest
5) make sure you label the post ("Labels" is an option under "Post settings" on the right side of the screen when in blog editor mode) with your name "[First] [Last]", and any other labels specified for the assignment. If you already see a label coming up for what you need, do not make a new label. Use what someone else beat you to.
